FORT CARSON, Colo. — The 4th Infantry Division and Fort Carson bade farewell to one outgoing leader and welcomed a new one during a retreat and change of responsibility ceremony May 18, 2020, at Manhart Field.
Command Sgt. Maj. T.J. Holland relinquished responsibility of the 4th Inf. Div. and Fort Carson to Command Sgt. Maj. Adam Nash. Holland served honorably as the senior enlisted adviser of the division for two years.
Holland addressed the audience, to include virtual attendees, by giving thanks to the many people who have supported him as a leader. Among the people he thanked were his wife and children, who have been patient and understanding throughout his service, he said.
“The 4th Infantry Division’s reputation is phenomenal,” Holland said. “It has a great culture, and I couldn’t imagine a better organization to have been a part of.”
Holland and his Family will report to his next assignment as the command sergeant major for XVIII Airborne Corps at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, this summer.
