FORT CARSON, Colo. — A 4th Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Soldier inspects an AN/VDR-2 Radiac set as part of a radiation safety officer certification class given Jan. 14, 2021.
FORT CARSON, Colo. — This week representatives from 4th Sustainment Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, completed a radiation safety officer certification class taught by the brigade’s chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear team Jan. 14, 2021.
Capt. Oliver Klein and Staff Sgt. Gerhard Y. Borabora discussed radiation units and measurements, biological effects of radiation and radioactive equipment operations.
One of the things the Soldiers learned was how to properly inspect, clean and use the AN/VDR-2 Radiac set.
“This class helps to reinforce the importance of what I was taught in school. It also helps me to understand the significance of my job while teaching me new techniques,” said Pfc.
